Additionally, a substance abuse professional who is carrying out substance
abuse treatment in a departmental facility or program must be working
under the direct supervision of a substance abuse service provider employed
by, or under contract with the departmental facility or program.
Direct supervision means that the licensed mental health professional or substance abuse service provider has at least one hour per week of face-to-face interaction with the unlicensed individual for the purpose of overseeing and directing the mental health treatment or substance abuse treatment that he or she is providing in the facility.
Therapy is the art of relationship between the therapist and the client. Professionals come with a variety of textbook cases but need to mold their own style
into the treatment. Quality Supervision allows a counselor’s personal style to
blend with common treatment practice to create a "fit" between client, therapist and
treatment.
Currently, Global Therapy offers
individual and group supervision to Social Workers, Mental Health Counselors,
Marriage and Family Therapists and Substance Abuse professionals.
